Here is a quick review of what has been accomplished since our last update:

• The biggest news is that we have received a $3 million donation which has been placed into a trust fund to be used exclusively for the construction of the new temple. By the kindness of this very sincere soul (who wishes to remain anonymous) we have received an amazing push forward. We still need to raise another $5 million to complete the entire project so your personal financial support is essential. But we can be certain that the merciful hand of the Supreme Lord is pushing this project forward.

• We have received our 4(d) permit from the City and the US Fish and Wildlife Service, allowing us to remove the brush from the site and prepare for the grading.

• The City Council has approved the tentative parcel map and general development agreement, clearing the way for the four private home lots.

• The Road Agreement (for the new access road and easement) has been approved by the City and signed by our neighbor.

• The Ingress/ Egress study has been submitted to the City Engineering Department. This confirms that our construction drawings meet the City’s code for safety and handicapped access. The City signing off on this allows us to move confidently towards completing the final construction drawings.

• Final Grading plan submitted to the City

• Final Street Improvement plan submited to the City

• Soil Erosion Control plan submitted to the City

• Building plans by our architects in India 75% completed

• Tejal Marbles, one of the most experienced stone carving firms in India, has completed the details of the exterior design and is working closely with our architects on finalizing the structural and other construction and design issues.

Krishna has been doing His part. He revealed the perfect site for the temple (now paid for in full). He inspired the City Council to give us the permit for the project. He has arranged for this amazing contribution. As I write this letter, the construction drawings are being completed and the City is reviewing our grading plan.

Now it is time for us to do our part. On the battlefield of Kuruksetra, from the Mahabharat, Krishna assured Arjuna of success. But Arjuna had to do his part and fight. We need everyone’s help to complete this noble project. Success is assured, by Krishna’s grace, but we all have the great good fortune to play our part.
